Keep It Simple
August 10, 2009
Communication is deceptively simple. At its core it consists of a sender and a receiver exchanging messages. The goal is for the sender and receiver to reach understanding, however static intercepts the message and often distorts it. When you are communicating with potential customers or clients, static is the last thing you want.
In any type of communication, whether visual or written, the goal is to simplify the message so that the receiver of understands and is equipped to act on it. Clear, concise written content is key to attaining the goal. So is uncomplicated design concepts. Together, they are powerful and have unlimited potential to send a message to your customer or client that is unmistakeably simple.
Whether you need written content and/or web design, you can be sure that I understand the principles behind communications that hits the target and gets results. Contact me today about your communications needs.
Useability - the Key to Website Success
August 10, 2009
Useability isn’t a word in the dictionary, however in the world of web design it means everything. The concept goes beyond a visually striking web design, centering around a user’s ability to navigate your site well enough to reach their goal.
A professional looking website that conveys your brand and image will instill confidence in a visitor, but if they can’t find what they are looking for easily they will leave. The key to keeping visitors on your site to view what you have to offer is well-designed, intuitive navigation. This is not as easy as it sounds because users tend to search a site in three different ways: typing the target word into the search function, using buttons to click through pages, or by reading content and following navigation links. A successful website will offer all three avenues of navigation.
When I design a site, I use design concepts that will provide a strong brand, communicate your mission or product succinctly and create navigation that happens intuitively so the user doesn’t have to think about anything except your product or services.

The first step is to assess the areas of your work that are time wasters. These tasks are usually administrative in nature and detract from the time you could be engaged in money generating pursuits. Another way to hire me as a VA to your best advantage is to capitilize on my strengths in writing, editing, web content generation and social marketing. If you lack experience and knowledge in these areas, mine can fill the gap.
I am a skilled professional so take the first step towards growing your business by contacting me today to discuss your virtual assistance needs.
Why Hire a VA?
August 9, 2009
Since I work “virtually” using the latest advanced technology and work delivery methods, I have my own fully functional office. You will save money that you can invest in business growth because you won’t be paying to rent office space and buy equipment plus hire, train and provide benefits such as vacation time, sick time, 401(k), that you would with a regular employee. And, by using a VA, you can write it off as a legitimate business expense.
And the cost savings don’t stop there. If I work on a project for only 15 minutes, you will only be billed for 15 minutes. You will receive a detailed report showing each project assigned, what was accomplished and how much time was invested in the project. With complete control over the amount of time I spend on your projects, you can manage your budget with ease. Best yet, you never have to wonder if you have enough work to keep an employee busy. The amount of hours worked is completely in your control.
